POC's Multi D Women's Short Tights, are, technically speaking, shorts, but we agree that "short tights" sounds more technical and the Multi D are certainly more advanced than your average cycling shorts. Not only do they manage to combine an ergonomic four-panel design, supportive compressive fabric, and a breathable construction into one lightweight package, but they pack a women's-specific Multi D WO chamois in as well, giving you supreme comfort when you're in the saddle. The chamois has pre-cut, silicone-based VPDS inserts that provide anatomically-mapped support and top-class breathability, while the compressive fabric reduces muscle vibration to ward off fatigue and speed up recovery. Silicone leg grippers keep the Multi D from riding up (the legs are slightly shorter than those of the Multi D WO Bib Shorts, incidentally), and a high rear waistband provides full coverage when you're in an aggressive riding position. POC also integrated a reflective print for added visibility in low-light conditions, so it won't be quite as hazardous if your ride keeps you out until twilight.
