Hi & thanks for visiting us here at TheCrossmyloof Brewery. Whether it’s a Red, White, Rosé, Sparkling, Country Hedgerow, Cider, High Alcohol, Mead, Turbo(ish) or a re-start yeast you’re after then we’ve got some great competitively priced foil fresh* yeast for your brew.

Barley Wine Yeast (10g):  

If you’re into your high strength barley wines up to 18% then this yeast will give it the kick it needs. 5 grams is more than enough to ferment up to 22.5L (5 gallons) of beautiful barley wine. 
It’ll work best at between 18c and 22c, but will still ferment out with these temps. So in about 
7 days you’ll have wonderful wine. We’ve also included a touch of nutrient to get those little 
blighters off to a flying start…

Cider Yeast (5g):  

Whether it’s apple or some other crazy fruit this 5g pack is more than enough for 4.5 to 22.5L (1gallon - 5gallons) of clean,crisp hard cider – turbo or otherwise. Simply sprinkle on your brew at room temp & stir like crazy for a few seconds, or better still mix with a little warm water first and leave for 15 minutes. Your brew will ferment quite nicely at 18 to 25c (12c to 30c min/max tolerance) and the little yeasties will normally whizz through all that sugar in about 7 days to finish your ferment. This yeast also has a high alcohol tolerance if you dare and 12% ers have been known;-) We’ve also included a touch of nutrient to get those little blighters off to a flying start.  Oh, and there’s topnotch clearing too

Country Fruit Wine Yeast (5g):  

A great Country Wine yeast that’s popular with the hedgerow brigade, this yeast strain is more than enough to ferment up to 22.5L (5 gallons) of tasty country fruit wine. Simply sprinkle on your brew at room temp & stir like crazy for a few seconds, or better still mix with a little warm water first and leave for 15 minutes. It’s designed to work best at room temperature and the little yeasties will normally whizz through all that fruit sugar in about 7 days to finish your ferment. This yeast also has a high alcohol tolerance if you dare, with top notch clearing to boot. We’ve also included a touch of nutrient to get those little blighters off to a flying start.

Elderflower Wine Yeast (5g) 

Great wine yeast that’s popular with the flower pickers. This yeast strain is more than enough to ferment up to 22.5L (5 gallons) of tasty Elderflower wine up to 15% ABV. Simply sprinkle on your brew at room temp & stir like crazy for a few seconds, or better still mix with a little warm water first and leave for 15 minutes. It’s designed to work best at room temperature and the little yeasties will normally fly through all that sugar in about 7 days to finish your ferment. This yeast also has a high alcohol tolerance if you dare, with top notch clearing to boot. We’ve also included a touch of nutrient to get those little blighters off to a flying start

Ginger Beer (5g):  

This 5g sachet packs a punch and is more than enough for 4.5 to 22.5L (1gallon - 5gallons) of clean, crisp & spicy ginger beer. Simply sprinkle on your brew at room temp & stir like crazy for a few minutes, or better still mix with a little warm water first and leave for 15 minutes. Your brew will ferment quite nicely at 18 to 25c (12c to 30c min/max tolerance) and the little yeasties will normally whizz through all that sugar in 7 to 10 days to finish your ferment. This yeast also has a high alcohol tolerance if you dare and 12% ers have been known;-) We’ve also included a touch of nutrient to get those little blighters off to a flying start.  Oh, and there’s topnotch clearing too

High Alcohol Yeast (10g):  

If you like it up at 18% ABV (maybe 22% with sugar feeding) then this 10g pack is the yeast for you. Perfect for fortified wines and ‘distil like’ brews. Follow your recipe instructions and add the yeast at room temperature. Simply sprinkle on your brew & stir like crazy for a few seconds, or better still mix with a little warm water first and leave for 15 minutes. Your brew will ferment quite nicely in a warm place (17 to 25c min/max tolerance) where the little yeasties will easily munch through all that sugar in a little over 7 to 10 days. We’ve also included a touch of nutrient to get those little blighters off to a flying start…

Mead Yeast (5g):  

This Mead yeast is the primary choice for many mead makers in our area. It ferments at a moderate to fast pace with little foaming and is good for medium to dry meads. It tends to accentuate the honey characteristics so it is a good choice for traditional varietal mead. Your brew will ferment quite nicely between 12c to 30c, but it’s designed to ferment at Ale temperatures (room temp). We’ve also included a touch of nutrient to get those little blighters off to a flying start…  More than enough to ferment up to 22.5L (5 gallons) of up to 12%ABV

Orange Wine Yeast (5g):  

Very popular with the WOW (Wurzels Orange Wine)crowd and enough to ferment up to 22.5L (5 gallons). Simply sprinkle on your brew at room temp & stir like crazy for a few seconds, or better still mix with a little warm water first and leave for 15 minutes. Your brew will ferment quite nicely at room temperature (12c to 30c min/max tolerance) and the little yeasties will easily munch through all that sugar in about 7 days to finish your ferment. This yeast also has a high alcohol tolerance if you dare, with topnotch clearing. We’ve also included a touch of nutrient to get those little blighters off to a flying start…

Perry (Pear Cider) Yeast (5g):  

Pears you say? More than enough for 4.5 to 22.5L(1gallon - 5gallons) of clean, crisp hard cider – turbo or otherwise. Simply sprinkle on your brew at room temp & stir like crazy for a few seconds, or better still mix with a little warm water first and leave for 15 minutes. Your brew will ferment quite nicely at 18 to 25c (12c to 30c min/max tolerance) and the little yeasties will normally whizz through all that sugar in about 7 days to finish your ferment. This yeast also has a high alcohol tolerance if you dare, with top notch clearing. We’ve also included a touch of nutrient to get those little blighters off to a flying start…

Red Wine Yeast (5g):  

Widely used by Le Agriculteur for his/her vin de table, this yeast strain can burst through 22.5L (5 Gallons) of tasty dry red wine. Either sprinkle & leave, sprinkle & shake, or ideally add to lukewarm water for 15 minutes before you pitch. It’s really up to you. Your brew will ferment quite nicely at room temp or a little higher (12c to 30c min/max tolerance) and the little yeasties will normally whizz through all that sugar in about 7 days to finish your ferment. This yeast also has a high alcohol tolerance if you dare - reaching a mind boggling 18% ABV, with top notch clearing to boot. We’ve also included a touch of nutrient to get those little blighters off to a flying start…

Re-Start Yeast (5g):  

Simply take 100g of sugar and add it to ½ litre of recently boiled water. Mix this well and add ½ litre of your stuck wine to this solution. Once the solution is lukewarm add the sachet of Re-start Yeast. Cover with cling film and after 24hrs add it back to your stuck wine. Simple.

Rhubarb Wine Yeast (5g) 

A great Country Wine yeast that’s popular in the farmhouse, this yeast strain is more than enough for 4.5 to 22.5L (1gallon - 5gallons) of tasty rhubarb wine. Simply sprinkle on your brew at room temp & stir like crazy for a few seconds, or better still mix with a little warm water first and leave for 15 minutes. Your brew will ferment quite nicely at 18 to 25c (12c to 30c min/max tolerance) and the little yeasties will normally whizz through all that rhubarb sugar in about 7 days to finish your ferment. This yeast also has a high alcohol tolerance if you dare, with top notch clearing to boot. We’ve also included a touch of nutrient to get those little blighters off to a flying start…

Rosé Wine Yeast (5g):  

Whether it’s a still or sparkling wine you’re after this yeast strain is more than enough for 4.5 to 22.5L (1gallon - 5gallons) of a clean, crisp and fruity wine. Simply sprinkle on your brew at room temp &stir like crazy for a few seconds, or better still mix with a little warm water first and leave for 15 minutes. Your brew will ferment quite nicely at 18 to25c (12c to 30c min/max tolerance) and the little yeasties will normally whizz through all that sugar in about 7 days to finish your ferment. This yeast also has a high alcohol tolerance if you dare, with top notch clearing to boot. We’ve also included a touch of nutrient to get those little blighters off to a flying start…

Champagne - Sparkling Wine Yeast (5g):  

We can’t call it Champagne yeast these days, which is a pity :-/ This yeast strain is more than enough for 4.5 to 22.5L (1gallon -5gallons) of a clean, crisp bit of Fizz. Simply sprinkle on your brew at room temp & stir like crazy if you like for a few seconds, or better still mix with a little warm water first and leave for 15 minutes. Your brew will ferment quite nicely at 18 to 25c (12c to 30c min/max tolerance) and the little yeasties will munch through all that sugar in no time at all. This yeast also has a high alcohol tolerance if you dare and a hefty 15%er has been known. We’ve also included a touch of nutrient to get those little blighters off to a flying start…

Turbo(ish) Yeast (10g):  

There’s no point in brewing sewage, so this 10g ‘turbo’ yeast pack will still retain some of the taste. Read the forums on the 48hr stuff. You’ll soon get the idea ;-) It’ll hit 15% in a week and up to 22% with sugar and nutrient feeding in 12 days.   I’d plump for a good 18%er though if you want taste behind your brew :-)

White Wine Yeast (5g) 

Widely used in Le France, this yeast strain is more than enough for 4.5 to 22.5L (1gallon - 5gallons) of clean, crisp & tasty dry white wine. Simply sprinkle on your brew at room temp & stir like crazyfor a few seconds, or better still mix with a little warm water first and leave for 15 minutes. Your brew will ferment quite nicely at 18 to 25c (12c to 30cmin/max tolerance) and the little yeasties will normally whizz through all that sugar in about 7 days to finish your ferment. This yeast also has a high alcohol tolerance if you dare and 18% ers have been known ;-) We’ve also included a touch of nutrient to get those little blighters off to a flying start. And there’s top notch clearing too.

Xmas Pudding Wine Yeast (5g):  

What The?  Xmas pudding wine?  Yes! If you don’t know about it then it’s your duty to find out about it!Anyway this yeast is perfect for up to a 22.5L (5 gallon) boozy xmas pudding wine. Simply mix with a little warm water first and leave for 15 minutes before pitching. It’s designed to work at 19-22c, but will ferment out between 15 and 30c. This yeast also has a high alcohol tolerance if you dare get granny drunk at Xmas on your 18%er. We’ve also included a touch of nutrient to get those little blighters off to a flying start…
